Appointment of New Trustees 2013

The Himalayan Trust UK was set up to support Sir Edmund Hillary’s work for the Sherpas in Nepal in 1990. As a result of Sir Edmund Hillarys work there are over 300 schools, hospitals and health clinics supported by the UK and our sister organisations. Over 2 million trees have been planted. Ascent of Everest – 60th Anniversary

This year, 2013, is the 60th Anniversary of the first ascent of Everest. In celebration of this extraordinary achievement The Himalayan Trust UK is, together with The Mount Everest Foundation, organising two very special events at the Royal Geographical Society to which all are welcome.
